Vaccination program falls behind in WGC

Dear Members,

At what is a critical time in the fight against the C19 Delta variant, and numbers of cases are rising sharply locally, and across the country. See https://www.welhatchamber.co.uk/covid-19-june-figures-warning-active-cases-rising-steeply-locally/

It is noticeable that some councils are doing better than others in the Vaccination stakes.

There is announced today, a new varient of concern (in India) the Delta Plus virus. Which is even more transmissable. By not vaccinating we increase the chances of mutations, that may be vaccine resistant. Which would be a disaster.

In the Map below from the Zoe App, you can see that in WGC, we still have less than half the population who have had their second dose.

Areas in Blue have done well, those in White have not. It seems that just like getting survival money into businesses, our local council is badly behind the curve.
