Great evening, proper debate with the University MBA Group in the Business School.
Our Thanks to the University, Lynne Stevens, Phillip Mason and Mona Benhadj for organising the event, and the Fielder Centre for providing the Venue and the rather good catering.
It is a bit difficult for me to comment objectively, as I was speaking on behalf of Brexit. However this is what Dr Denise Dollimore FRSA, kindly had to say.
Dear Nick
I just wanted to express my sincere thanks to you for giving up your evening for our MBA Brexit Event to take part in the pleasingly informed and vibrant debate with Steven Altmann-Richer from the CBI. The feedback I have had is wonderful with so many people commenting on the breadth of the discussion as well as its high quality and standards. People were very impressed with the way you and Steven conducted yourselves when it was clear that you disagreed so strongly, they appreciated that you did not interrupt or talk over each other and were simply pleased to be able to hear what you both had to say.
Thank you once again for your contribution to most engaging and enjoyable evening.
Kindest regards
Denise

The Learning piece for me is that too many Statistics in a presentation completely loose the Audience. Steven came prepared with a barrage of “facts” produced by “experts” many of which did not make sense to me.
