About Welwyn Escape Rooms
Welwyn Escape Rooms is a new escape room company based in Welwyn Garden City. It was established this year by WGC residents Camden Ford and Louise Carey, along with Louise’s brother, Ben Carey. The trio of escape room enthusiasts are excited to bring escape room challenges and experiences to the garden city. Our first event, A Christmas Carol at The Watermill, is being run with Pier Pressure and the Welwyn Hatfield Museum Service at The Watermill in Hatfield. Part escape room, part immersive theatre, it brings Dickens’ A Christmas Carol to life in a whole new way!

A Christmas Carol at The Watermill brings Dickens’s classic Christmas tale to life in a whole new way! YOU get to represent the main characters in this immersive theatre adventure. Your team will meet the famous ghosts of Christmas past, present and future as you explore a stunning 18th century working watermill, completing challenges and solving mysteries as you search for the true meaning of Christmas.
A festive event that’s perfect for families and groups of friends alike, A Christmas Carol is being run with the Welwyn Hatfield Museum Service and Pier Pressure, operator of the UK’s highest quality escape rooms.

What is an Escape Room?
Escape rooms are exciting, immersive experiences where teams of players work together to beat challenges, complete tasks and solve mysteries in a themed setting.
