Many of you will know Peter from his time as MP for St Albans then Harpenden.

What you may not know is that he was the Minister that put together the Single Market agreement, and set up the Uruguay Trade Round spanning from 1986 to 1994 and embracing 123 countries as “contracting parties”. The Round led to the creation of the World Trade Organization, with GATT remaining as an integral part of the WTO agreements.

In other words, unlike many other commentators, he knows what he is talking about.

We feel that what matters here, is not “Brexit In or Out” or the “Political Manoeuvres in the dark”, rather how we as business people are going to Innovate and Export to the whole of the world, to reduce our National Debt.

Peter will help us to understand the vitally important role we have to play in this and put into perspective the importance of trade deals and access to markets. He will also explore the options open to us, and their likely impact on the UK Economy. Summarising with his insights into the latest news.

I will then be talking with Paul Shadbolt (Regional Director of Lloyds Bank) about where we can find certainty and where we cannot.

Where help is available, why the ball is really in our court, and the opportunities this presents.

If you are coming by train Hatfield Station is opposite an entrance to the estate, it is about a 10 minute walk from the station to the Riding School.
