Grant Shapps Chairs this event in Beales Hotel.
Thank you to WelHat Conservatives for organising the event.
Captain Johnny Mercer served in the British Army for 12 years.
On his third tour of Afghanistan based in Helmand Province, a notorious Taliban hotspot, he was a “Joint Fires Controller”
responsible for targetting artillery and air strikes in close proximity to his own troops. Johnny will be talking about his brutal experience of frontline combat, the care for injured men, and how this drove him to become an MP and write his book “We Were Soldiers”.
This event gives us an opportunity to hear first hand what it is like to put yourself in harm’s way on behalf your country and to say thank you to Johnny and his fellow soldiers.
Tickets are £10 each Call 01707 262632 to book. They can take card payments over the phone.
