You might want to inform your accounts team that there has been a number of recent attempts by fraudsters to impersonate companies. The fraudsters contact the bank and say their company bank account details have changed and any payments from customers should now be made to the new bank account. Whilst this type of fraud is not new it is still happening. Any company being notified of a change of account details to make payments to should check with their suppliers to ensure their money is going to the right place. People should also note whether the bank has redirected money to a different account other than the one payments were expected to be made to.
