Angel Investors and Crowd Funding: Colin Spiller
Colin is a business consultant, trainer, mentor and hands on salesman. He has led sales teams and a150 pan-European team with a $30m pa budget. Colin began his career in engineering before qualifying as a banker and has spent the last 20 years actively involved with high potential SMEs. Colin runs a variety of workshops on S & M, mentors clients and takes products to market, such as an operational risk management system that he sold to the Bank of England and Rothschild. He has also won 3 UK clients for a supplier of Traceability & Manufacturing Control systems.
Colin worked for 6 years as the Business Development Manager for an early stake Tech focus VC, and generated an extra £1.5m into the investee companies. Launched and manages the London Angel Club for Angels Den, which has raised over £3m for entrepreneurs in 3 Years since launch, with over £1.3m in 2014 so far. He Co-Leads the London meetings of the 3Cs Community on a pro bono basis. The 3Cs helps and encourage entrepreneurs start up and grow their business. He has recently joined London Met as an external assessor on their management programmes and is a member of the Information Technology Livery Company and the recently formed Guild of Entrepreneurs.
