GNBC’s 10th Birthday Offers
We are delighted to offer fellow Chamber members free or discounted services to help us celebrate our 10th anniversary: GNBC 10th Anniversary – WHCC
On 1 February 2015, I sat with my wife on two dusty and wobbly seats, in what would become the main office of the Great North Business Centre (GNBC) in Hatfield, with a freshly opened cold bottle of prosecco.
Little did we know the scale of adventure ahead, or that we would get to see its 10th anniversary. Of course there is a sense of achievement, but the overwhelming feeling I have is of gratitude.
I am grateful to all GNBC team members, past and present, who have brought all kinds of inspiration, energy, passion and dedication, and to the many tradesmen and women who have built, decorated, fixed, installed, mowed, cleaned and unblocked things.
Thank you to all of our clients, past and present, who made GNBC their home, some for most of our 10 years. Some outgrew our spaces but continue using our services. A few startups faced business failure and, sadly, had to retreat, hopefully to reinvent and fight another day.
Mostly I am grateful to my loving family and supportive friends, who graciously allow for my absences (sometimes at short notice, often weekends) to fix or upgrade something at GNBC. Thank you so much!
Starting, growing and running a small business can be a daunting experience, and very lonely at times, even with the support of family and friends. I am very grateful for the support of the Chamber itself, and of members who have helped us along the way.
It is great to share our experiences, both tough and happy, with like-minded others, and that is one of many great strengths of the Chamber.
